Would you please refer to previous correspondenoe about the staffing of the Labour Department, Hong Kong, ending with your letter No...52892/06 of the 13th Pobrasry-

The Governor's recommendations for the salaries of all the posts in the Labour Department have now been received. I attach a copy of his savingram and enclosure, setting ut the details.

In your letter referred to above you have already agreed to the anlory scales for the posts of 1 Labour officer (Trade Union Adviser) and Lady Assistant Labour Offloer: the salary of a Class I Cadet la

€2450 £1600 per annum and of a Class II Cadet, £400 for two years, then £520 £1200 per annum.

Subject to say comments you may have, we propose to approve the Governor'c reco:mendations.
